As Boone's old players remembered him this week, they emphasized the impact he had on them. Alexandria'south former police primary, for example, recalled how his coach once punished him for skipping form — and then coming to exercise.

Weeks before Boone died, his old squad celebrated winning its first playoff game since 1991.
