How to read a micropipettor

Each micropipettor has a three-digit book indicator, but the (slightly) tricky part is that the digits hateful different things depending on whether you're looking at a P20, a P200, or a P1000. Once again, its not actually rocket science:

• On a P20, the virtually you lot can measure is 20, and so the top digit is 10's of microliters.

• On a P200, the most you tin mensurate is 200, and then the summit digit is 100's of microliters.

• On a P1000, the nigh you can measure is one thousand, and then the summit digit is thou'southward of microliters (also known equally milliliters).

This means, incidentally, that the top number on the number dial can but exist gear up to a few digits. On a P20 or a P200, it can only exist set to 0 or ane. (Picky But Of import Note: the acme digit of a P20 or P200 Tin be a "2", simply only if the other digits are zippo. In other words, a reading of "200" is ok, but not "201". Likewise, a reading of "1000" is ok on the P1000, only "1001" is verbotten).
